We Heart Deer Park updates
Last year local churches, businesses, families, and non-profits came together to serve our community. These groups care about our community and were excited to provide resources such as food, clothing, haircuts, sports physicals, and much more. But more than meeting needs, it was also a lot of fun, with various games/activities to play and yummy food to eat like snow cones and cotton candy. Personally, this event is a highlight for me every year because it is beautiful to watch our community give out love in a tangible way.
Would you like to help too? We're looking for other businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who will host a booth at the event and bless our community! To host a booth visit: http://weheartdeerpark.com/index.php/how-to-help/host-a-booth

Why does a 30-year-old childless bachelor inspire us at First Baptist to serve children and families through We Heart Deer Park? Jesus placed immense value on children in His life and His death, and as His disciples we do too.
Why do I support We Heart Deer Park?
It's easy to begin doing something and then somewhere along the way forget why you began in the first place. As we look forward to hosting year 6 of We Heart Deer Park, we as local pastors have done some reflecting on why we continue to commit time and energy to the event. Here are a couple reasons why I am glad our local churches are still committed to it.
